Never before in the history of the world has there been such a need for fact-checkers. The media is lying, except for certain ones, and social media networks are only allowing what they deem as factual, according to them, to be posted on their pages. Information sites such as Snopes profess to set the record straight and Google is buckling at the knees.
If you’re anywhere near being like the rest of sane thinking Americans, we know what you’re thinking. Who’s verifying all of this stuff and telling us what’s okay to believe versus a non-fictional fairytale? Are they former Jeopardy winners?
Zuckerberg and his cast of shadow characters at Facebook have just given us a glimpse of how the underbelly of propaganda works. They involuntarily revealed how the determination of what to let go and what to block goes further and deeper than anyone can imagine. It traces all the way to China.
Zuck-man is fond of boasting about his literal Army of fact-checkers working as independents. You know. So he doesn’t have to payout for benefits. He believes the independents to be the best and most experienced in the business.
But in searching deeper, at least one of these fact finders is throwing a bit of shade. It’s actually a company called Lead Stories. A portion of what Lead Stories is monetarily raking in is not coming from Facebook at all.
It’s coming via a partner in crime. And by crime, we’re talking of the worst type. Some might call Zuckerberg a traitor. We prefer to call him a traitor.
You see, Lead Stories is partially paid by TikTok, with whom they enjoy a convenient and highly suspect partnership. TikTok, as we are all aware, is a social media platform owned and operated by a Chinese firm that is currently under investigation for potentially posing a national security risk.
There’s one more thing. Lead Stories is totally and without compromise, pledges its allegiance to the Chinese Communist Party. The same government that wanted Donald Trump shoved aside so their longtime friend Joe Biden would gain the throne and give them a much-needed break. Whew… These last four years…
As if this is not enough, here’s another chew toy. The company tasked with overseeing the quality of the fact-checkers Facebook relies on is called Poynter Institute. They too are in partnership with TikTok.
Let’s dig some more. Earlier this year in an announcement made by TikTok, it was revealed that Lead Stories had been contracted by global technology giant ByteDance for fact-checking “to further aid our efforts to reduce the spread of misinformation, particularly regarding the CCP virus pandemic which originated in China and was exacerbated by the CCP regime’s coverup.”
ByteDance is defined by Wikipedia as a “multinational internet technology company headquartered in Bejing and legally domiciled in the Cayman Islands. It was founded by Zhang Yiming in 2012. ByteDance is reportedly worth over US$100 billion as of May 2020.” Yiming was named by Time Magazine as one of the world’s top 100 influencers.
ByteDance operates a range of worldwide content platforms designed to inform, educate, entertain, and inspire people of all languages and cultures. So not only is Facebook’s censorship being controlled by the CCP, but also a major company that provides the world with a huge chunk of the information they absorb daily.
Lead Stories was founded in 2015 by CNN veteran Alan Duke, a couple of lawyers from Florida and Colorado, and a Belgian website developer named Maarten Schenk. With an initial operating cost of only $50,000, by 2019 the figure jumped seven-fold thanks to Zuckerburg shelling out $460,000 for their services during 2018 and 2019.
As Lead Stories grew they expanded their operation by hiring a dozen additional full-time staffers, half of them ex-CNN liberals. So let’s follow the chain. Facebook pays Lead Stories to fact check, who then runs the information through ByteDance to determine the absolute truth, except ByteDance just happens to be controlled by the CCP. Did you get all of that?
This should be enough to piss-off even the most docile reader. Did it just light your fuse?
