Earth Day is an interesting time of year because we get to hear all of the insane rhetoric that we are usually trying to avoid. To be perfectly honest, the hyperbolic nonsense is kind of funny but the humor wears thin quickly. Environmental activists do not know how to communicate their message without going overboard.
Now, they are taking their messages about climate change to a whole new level. In case you were wondering, they have come up with the real reason for climate change: racism. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is spelling that out explicitly. Social injustice and white supremacy are to blame here and you know what you will be called if you disagree with these assessments.
The Green New Deal was reintroduced in Congress this week, as press conferences were called and new versions of the resolution were filed. The political atmosphere has changed now that Biden has the presidency. The Democrats also have control of the House and the Senate, which helps to further their cause.
Biden is easy for the left to bully, as he will go along with just about anything that they come up with at this point. If it has been written in a socialist manifesto, he is going to do his best to implement it. Since everything revolves around race for the Democrats now, we are not surprised by the racial injustice spin that is being added here.
The New York Post has more about AOC’s latest commentary and it’s about what you would expect. “The climate crisis is a crisis born of injustice, and it is a crisis born of the pursuit of profit at any and all human and ecological cost,” the New York Democrat said Tuesday as she again pushed the Green New Deal.
.@AOC: "The trampling of indigenous rights is a cause of climate change. The trampling of racial justice is a cause of climate change."

“Which means that we must recognize in legislation that the trampling of indigenous rights is a cause of climate change, that the trampling of racial justice is a cause of climate change,” she insisted to clapping.
“Because we are allowing people … to deny ourselves human rights and deny people the right to health care, the right to housing and education,” AOC said at the press conference in front of the Capitol.”
In order to make sure that her extreme agenda gets pushed, she has to resort to all sorts of hyperbole. America has to be painted as purely racist or her comments would fall on deaf ears. The next generation of politicians has arrived, with a very clear objective in mind. They blame Americans first and they let the rest take care of itself.
Sierra Club supporters also sent a letter that aligns with AOC’s latest words. Near as we can tell, the Minnesota chapter of the organization believes climate change is being caused by white supremacy. They are also claiming that Derek Chauvin’s guilty verdict does not provide any justice. If the message sounds strange, that is because it is. The organization also tried to play on sympathies over the death of sixteen-year-old Ma’Khia Bryant in Ohio.
“George Floyd should be alive. We remember George Floyd and how his life mattered. The conviction of Derek Chauvin, made possible because of the recording of a bystander, is a small step towards accountability. But it is not justice,” the letter begins. It does not get any more coherent from there. These people are great at stringing lots of words together but they cannot seem to decide on a central point.
“To protect the planet, we must dismantle systemic racism wherever it exists. We must dismantle harmful police systems and replace them with real investments in people and communities,” the letter also reads. The implication here is fairly easy to understand. Sierra Club is urging people to head outside and start trouble. With Joe Biden’s two day climate change summit right around the corner, we cannot wait to see what sort of racial injustice angle he takes in his discussions.
