To the surprise of essentially no one, Joe Biden has selected Kamala Harris as his running mate for the upcoming presidential election. While they were once rivals, they are now uniting for a common purpose. Harris was clearly the best choice for the role. She’s a charismatic former Senator who will soothe the fears of any Biden voters about him potentially drifting too far to the left.
She’s led several major law enforcement offices, so Biden and his cronies can count on her to swing some of the undecided voters who were concerned about some of his more recent statements. She’s also won three elections in the state of California and is as battle tested as they come. The official announcement was provided through Joe Biden’s Twitter account.

It also won’t shock anyone to learn that Wikileaks has already provided a wide range of documents about Kamala Harris. 137 documents are now in circulation. There’s no shortage of dirt to be dug up on her but the past relationship between her and Joe Biden is worth discussing. For starters, let’s talk about Harris’ take on Joe Biden’s sexual assault allegations.
She was one of the first Democrats to step up to the plate and let the world know that they were standing with his accusers. What happened between then and now? Harris clearly views this as an opportunity to claim the presidency that she never truly had a shot at. After all, Biden is getting on in years and it’s entirely possible that he decides to step down before his full term is finished.
I have the great honor to announce that I’ve picked @KamalaHarris — a fearless fighter for the little guy, and one of the country’s finest public servants — as my running mate.

In all likelihood, she actually does believe the accusations but it was impossible for her to turn down the chance to waltz to the presidency through a side door. Harris also called out Biden for his past voting history during one of the early debate. She correctly observed that he is responsible for signing horrific policies into law.
Of course, once she was pressed about this exchange, Harris did a complete about face. She was not actually criticizing Joe Biden, you see. It was just a debate and this is how politicians talk to each other during debates. By those standards, it is hard to see how Wikileaks documents could make her look any worse than she already does. She’s exposed herself as a flip flopper who cares about her political career more than remaining objective.
Kamala Harris is the human embodiment of the phrase “if you can’t beat them, join them”. She knew that she did not have any chance of beating Biden out for the Democratic nomination and in her mind, this is probably the next best thing. If Biden wins and ends up stepping down, Harris will ascend to the presidency without ever having to win the popular vote.
It’s a pretty sweet gig if you can get it, that is for sure. Wikileaks is going to try to bring attention to the myriad of skeletons that are dancing around in her closet but it may not matter in the face of such hypocrisy. Democratic voters who believed that the party was about to start drifting left are also going to be let down by the choice.
Biden has been trying to align himself with the movement to defund the police for the past few months but now? He’s clearly realized the error of his way and he wants to keep his moderate voting base from becoming too fearful. If the will of the people actually mattered to this party, Biden would have chosen someone like Bernie Sanders.
If these Wikileaks documents do not bring the party down, their own grifting will. The Democrats are just lunging from decision to decision, with no clear plan. All that’s left now is to prepare for the inevitable protests that are going to take place come November, no matter which of these parties happens to win the election.
