The “good” folks at NBC are now stepping up their false narratives a whole new level. They have edited police bodycam footage in a manner that does not allow their viewers to know the real truth. There was a knife in 15-year-old Ma’Kiyah Bryant’s hand in the moments before she was shot dead by a police officer in Columbus, Ohio.
The deceptive NBC editing did not stop there, either. The 911 call that they played was also edited. They did not want viewers to hear the part where the caller mentioned Bryant trying to stab them. NBC anchor Lester Holt started the segment off by sharing a picture that was designed to make her look more innocent as well.
If the story is going to be told, it should be told in full or not at all. This teenager was wielding a massive knife at the time of the confrontation. It is totally dishonest to omit details, in an effort to get people on your side. Let’s face it, the liberals would have been on board with this even if they did have the whole story.
That’s why we are so perplexed by the lying. When it comes to police brutality, there are two sides and for the most part? People tend to stay in their ideological corners. If you are the type of person who can think in a more nuanced way, you are more likely to see both sides of these confrontations.
In their report on the officer-involved shooting in Columbus, Ohio, NBC Nightly News deceptively edited the 911 call to leave out the part where the caller says a girl was "trying to stab us." They also don't show viewers the knife in the attacker's hand just before the shots. pic.twitter.com/r5uXD1qDb1

If you are the type of person who thinks that the police will ever lose their funding in our lifetime, you are going to side with the victim every time. It does not matter how the story is presented. NBC didn’t need to behave in such an irresponsible way. Their audience would have been on their side anyway.
“In their report on the officer-involved shooting in Columbus, Ohio, NBC Nightly News deceptively edited the 911 call to leave out the part where the caller says a girl was “trying to stab us.” They also don’t show viewers the knife in the attacker’s hand just before the shots,” Nicholas Fondacaro points out.
Newsbusters was responsible for showing us these inconsistencies. To their credit, CBS and ABC did not go along with this insanity. They reported the story in the proper manner. “These grown girls over here trying to fight us, trying to stab us,” said the 911 caller. In CBS and ABC’s version of events, this very important bit of context is left in. It’s easier to have a real point of view when you are getting the actual story.
The Columbus mayor released the bodycam footage and Bryant was clearly in the act of trying to stab someone when the fatal shots were fired. What were the police supposed to do in this instance? People need to decide what it is that they want. If she had stabbed these other people and the police did nothing, would that have made them happy?
No one can seem to tell us what it is that they actually want to see when these confrontations go down. The mainstream media’s lack of willingness to tell the whole story is contributing to that. We cannot expect everyone to know the real truth when big-name news sources are wholly committed to feeding them lies.
If NBC News had any guts to speak of, they would issue a retraction immediately. They would apologize to their audience and make sure that they knew the truth. We know that none of this is ever going to happen but it would be nice to see.
Maybe the liberals would be willing to wake up and smell the coffee if they were being given the real story. This is not something that we are going to bank on but we are going to try our best to speak it into existence. In the meantime, NBC should feel a great sense of shame for misleading the American public.
