It will never cease to amaze me how the people who tend to decry racism and systematic injustice are often the most blind and judgmental. Furthermore, by their constant accusations about someone else being “racist,” they prove just how ignorant they are of the true meaning of the word.
Take sports journalist Jemele Hill, for example.
Hill has been actively outspoken against President Donald Trump from the time he was appointed to office. Why? Well, that part is a bit more unclear, as all she usually says about the man is something along the lines of him being “racist,” “offensive,” or “a white supremacist.” She never explains herself, never talks in-depth about why he is abhorrent to her. Just that she strongly dislikes him.
Take this post she made in September of 2017, for instance.
She says, “Trump is the most ignorant, offensive president of my lifetime. His rise is a direct result of white supremacy. Period.”
And not five minutes before that post, she tweeted out, “Donald Trump is a white supremacist who has largely surrounded himself w/ other white supremacists.”
Again, no explanation. No reason was given for why she believes this way, just that she does. “Period.”
And those outlandish beliefs have gotten her into trouble more than a few times.
As you may know, Hill used to work for ESPN. And she did well there until she couldn’t keep her bias to herself. As you can imagine, the posts mentioned above, which were made during her time with the popular sports network, caused her a great deal of backlash. So much so that ESPN essentially forced her to apologize.
In addition, they even released a statement noting that the remarks Hill had made were in no way reminiscent of the beliefs of the network. As such, Hill had been reprimanded and make known that commenting in such a fashion was “inappropriate.”
They wrote, “The comments on Twitter from Jemele Hill regarding the President do not represent the position of ESPN. We have addressed this with Jemele and she recognizes her actions were inappropriate.”
However, it became clear not much later than this, that Hill likely did not recognize the errors of her ways, as she continued to make similar political commentary both on and off the air. Eventually, ESPN let her go, citing her “political commentary” as the reason they could no longer employ her.
Hill was not banished from the sports world or that of journalism, though. And, as the nation’s Democrat Party has moved farther to the left and allowed more hate and extremism towards the right and those who back Trump, Hill has taken advantage of that, giving her political opinion whenever possible. And for it, she has received a great deal of attention, even recently earning her a partnership with the infamous Colin Kaepernick.
According to an ESPN news release, the duo will be joining ESPN and The Walt Disney Company to produce several projects with social justice and activism at their core.
“The partnership will focus on telling scripted and unscripted stories that explore race, social injustice and the quest for equity, and will provide a new platform to showcase the work of Black and Brown directors and producers.”
But it’s clear by Hill’s most recent comments that this ‘exploration’ of race and social injustice will only include her side of things.
On Sunday, she tweeted out, “If you vote for Donald Trump, you are a racist. You have no wiggle room.”
Now, beyond her apparent ignorance towards what the word ‘racist’ actually means, there is another irony in this statement.
You see, among those who have and plant to vote for Donald Trump is Hills’s very own mother. We know this because, well, Hill told us that herself. You know back in 2017 before she started touting her hatred for our president.
In a conversation with another social media user, she said, “Yes, my mother voted for trump. she’s been voting republican since post bill clinton.”
Well, at least someone in the family actually uses their brain. It’s clear Jemele doesn’t. Otherwise, she wouldn’t be calling her mother a racist for all the world to see.
No, she likely doesn’t think her mother is racist. But her words attest just how far the left is willing to ignore all reason and honesty in their attempt to drive Trump out of the White House. Call it Trump Derangement Syndrome or whatever you want.
One thing is obvious; statements like this only prove how hypocritical and stupid you are, Jemele.
