Biden’s America! Long Gas Lines and Food Shortages – This Is Socialism for You

The coronavirus pandemic has been dragging on for some time now and this is leading to some very unfortunate conversations. The world’s supply chains are being disrupted by the pandemic, creating a number of shortages in the process. Cleaning products and toilet paper certainly got hard to come by during the earliest stages.

As time has gone on, food shortages are now becoming a larger issue for many Americans. The supply chain is being blamed for several problems and now Chick-fil-A is being affected. They made an announcement that is sure to bother many of their regular employees.

Most of their restaurants are going to be implementing a limit when it comes to sauces: one per customer. The loyal customers are going to be upset and we are right there with you guys. The special sauce is one of our favorite parts of visiting these restaurants. Of course, we know what the next question is going to be….

Are they going to run out of chicken next?? Luckily, there are no such concerns at this time. Per The Hill:

“Due to industry-wide supply chain disruptions, some Chick-fil-A restaurants are experiencing a shortage of select items, like sauces. We are actively working to make adjustments to solve this issue quickly and apologize to our Guests for any inconvenience,” a Chick-fil-A spokesperson said.”

When you visit Chick-fil-A now, you must limit yourself to one sauce per entree, two sauces per meal, and three sauces per 30-count nuggets. To soften the blow, the company has let their customers know that they can purchase the special sauces that they crave online. Yahoo News has also further information on the retail outlets that are offering up sauces still:

“Customers can continue to purchase 8 oz. bottles of Chick-fil-A sauce in retail stores like Walmart, Target, Publix and Kroger. Their sauces — Chick-fil-A Sauce, Barbeque, Honey Mustard, Garden Herb Ranch and Polynesian — are also available for purchase on the Chick-fil-A app.”

This company’s reputation remains sterling, despite all of these hold ups. If you head to their drive thru any time of day or any day of the week, you are always going to receive the very best service. Chick-fil-A seems like the type of establishment that is sure to get this shortage under control as soon as possible.

The country has started to reopen and supply chain interruptions are to be expected under the current circumstances. The world essentially ground to a halt for a year, so it is easy to see why companies are struggling to get back to the old ways of doing things. All of the levers of the global economy have been affected, including demand and shipping.

The food industry is not the only industry that is going through these types of shortages at the moment. Gas, lumber, chlorine and metal are also a lot harder to come by than they were before the pandemic hit. You have probably heard about the gas pipeline company that experienced a hack, which led to a temporary shortage.

Companies are also struggling to find workers as they look to reopen. Some blame the enhanced UI benefits, others are putting the onus on a lack of child care. The jobs report that came out last Friday paints an awful picture and we do not expect a rapid recovery. Mark Allen, president and CEO of the International Foodservice Distributors Association (IFDA), spoke about the issue recently.

“I don’t think anyone expected for our industry to come back as quickly as it did,” Allen said. He was referring to a recent conversation that he had with a number of sizable food industry distributors about the lack of truck drivers and warehouse employees at the moment. In time, we expect these positions to be filled. As for Chick-fil-A, we also expect them to solve the sauce problem very soon. This is one restaurant that knows how to take care of their customers.
