Justin Tyran Roberts is a 39-year-old black man who made a horrific decision that will forever alter the trajectory of his life and many others. He went on a shooting spree across the states of Georgia and Alabama that lasted for two days. His target? White males. He now stands accused of wounding and shooting five different white men from these states.
Detective Brandon Lockhart testified about the incidents on Monday, claiming that Roberts told the police “white men had picked on him and wronged him for all his life,” thus leading to the shootings. The Columbus Ledger-Enquirer has more about these tragic incidents.
“Basically, he explained throughout his life, specifically white males had taken from him, and also what he described as military-looking white males had taken from him,” said Detective Lockhart. Roberts is not said to have any connection with the men that he shot, who are all (fortunately) expected to make a full recovery. The shootings took place over the course of three separate attacks in Columbus, Georgia and Phenix City, Alabama.
Roberts made his initial court appearance on Monday for the preliminary hearing for one of these incidents. He is alleged to have shot a man in the back who was trying to enter his vehicle. “I had to have him,” Roberts said, according to the detective’s testimony.
“Roberts also claimed that such men were ‘shooting at him in a wooded area with a slingshot,’ and the wounds had infected his skin, Lockhart testified. But he said police saw no injuries to substantiate that,” according to the report from the Ledger-Enquirer. Roberts has hired a public defender, who claims that he needs a mental health evaluation and that he is suffering from delusions.
“The officer’s testimony has demonstrated that Mr. Roberts is having delusions and a disconnect from reality,” the public defender told the judge. Columbus Police Chief Freddie Blackmon is doing his best to reduce the level of panic that is taking place in the area at the moment. Obviously, white people who reside in this region are worried that they could be targeted next.
“Uptown is safe. These recent shooting incidents that occurred in the last 24 hours have been isolated incidents,” said Blackmon. “We have not received any information that would indicate there was anyone else involved in these shooting incidents other than the person we have in custody.” Kudos to these officers for getting the situation under control as quickly as possible.
This is probably not the last that we are going to be hearing of this case. Judge Julius Hunter found probable cause to send Roberts’ case to Muscogee Superior Court after the preliminary hearing took place. We just want to know where Joe Biden was on this one. He is the one who has not been able to stop claiming that white supremacy is the biggest threat that the country is facing.
However, these are the stories that the mainstream media will typically bury. Did you see any special reports about any of these shootings? We can confirm that we did not and we watch a fair amount of news on television. We didn’t see anyone talking about it on social media either. Biden is not going to discuss these things because they cause most of his points to collapse on themselves. He can’t continue to push the “white supremacy is the cause of all of our troubles” narrative if stories like these are given real airtime.
In the meantime, our hearts go out to the victims of the shootings and the families that were affected as a result of them. These are the people who the mainstream media forgets about in their mad rush to make sure that they are placing themselves on the “right side” of history. In reality, these charlatans go whichever direction the wind blows and people are deluded to think that they care about anything at all.
